The short version
This site does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If you email us, we have your email. If you hire us, we see your systems and we keep what we see confidential.
What this site collects
Nothing directly. There are no accounts, no forms, no analytics scripts, and no advertising or tracking cookies on this site. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability purposes.
What we collect when you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it to answer you and to scope and deliver work. We do not add you to a marketing list and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
What we see during an audit
To perform an audit we are given read-only access to your systems. In the course of that review we see configuration data, account and permission structures, logging settings, and similar technical information. We do not seek out, extract, or retain your customers’ personal data, and we do not use your data for anything other than performing the audit you asked for.
Findings and reports are confidential. We do not share them with anyone other than you, unless you direct us to or we are legally required to.
How long we keep things
We keep engagement records and delivered reports for as long as we need them for the engagement, for our own records, and to meet legal and tax obligations. We delete working artifacts and access credentials once an engagement is complete. You can ask us to delete your report and records and we will, subject to any legal obligation to retain them.
Who else is involved
We use third-party services to run this business, including website hosting and email. Those providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.
Security
We use access controls and encryption appropriate to the sensitivity of what we hold, and we limit access credentials to what an engagement requires and revoke them when it ends. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under local privacy law, and we will honor them.
Children
This is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
